- PDO Threads | Studio G Aesthetics
PDO (Polydioxanone) thread lifting is a form of a non-surgical facelift that has much less downtime and lasts longer than fillers. PDO Thread lifts stimulate rejuvenation in facial tissues, gradually improving skin tone and firmness. PDO Threads A thread lift or threading face lift is a simple procedure that involves lifting the skin using sutures that were traditionally only used for surgery but maintaining them hidden under the skin’s surface. It is often referred to as a non-surgical face lift. With the developed techniques, this can be used to offer benefits similar to a facelift , with advantages such as minimal downtime, no scarring, reduced cost, less invasive, and less postoperative complications. This can be an excellent alternative if you are searching for lifting or rejuvenation of the skin. What is a thread lift? A thread lift is a type of procedure wherein temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin. Instead of removing the patient's loose facial skin surgically, the cosmetic surgeon simply suspends it by stitching up portions of it. This has the effect of pulling the skin back slightly and therefore lifting and tightening the face. In addition to being ideal for lifting the skin, threads combat aging in another way: by provoking the body's "healing response" and causing the body to direct large surges of collagen to treated areas. This is important because of the vital role collagen plays in the aging process. Collagen helps support "growth factors" that greatly influences the condition of our skin. In addition to being used for wound healing, collagen helps to keep our skin strong, voluminous and supple. As we get older, our bodies gradually produce less and less collagen, which leads to an 80% reduction in skin thickness by about age 70. This loss of volume and strength is a large factor in the creation of excess skin and wrinkles. As the skin grows weaker, it's no longer able to support the tissues beneath it adequately, meaning that gravity pulls it downwards and stretches it. Infusing the skin of the face with fresh collagen when the signs of skin laxity are still mild can help to both reduce looseness (by thickening and hydrating the skin) and prevent it from getting worse (by strengthening the skin). In other words, this process provides ongoing and progressive rejuvenation for the facial tissues. Patients who have a thread lift for the purpose of stimulating collagen will notice a gradual improvement in their skin's tone and firmness. While their threads are in place, the body's healing response will be constantly activated because the body will want to "heal" the sutured areas and expel the sutures. The body is biologically programmed to react this way when it senses any foreign object present within the dermis. Fortunately, because the threads placed under the skin during a thread lift are so small, the patient will not feel any of this happening. Most people cannot feel their sutures at all once the skin has healed around them. What are the advantages of having a thread lift instead of a facelift? For many patients, the biggest advantage of having a thread lift rather than a facelift is the greatly reduced recovery time associated with thread lifts. When a patient has facelift surgery, he or she must be heavily sedated; as such, the patient must arrange for someone to drive him or her home from the hospital. Most facelift patients also require around the clock assistance from a caretaker for at least three days after they have surgery. Furthermore, if the patient still has children at home, childcare aid may also be needed. Facelift patients usually need to take one to two weeks off of work, too, in order to heal. Recovery from a thread lift, on the other hand, is comparatively easy. Thread lifts can be performed under local, rather than general anesthesia, meaning that thread lift patients can drive themselves home and look after themselves immediately after having their procedure. While some patients will experience a little bit of soreness, redness and swelling after having a thread lift and therefore wish to take the rest of the day off, most can return to work immediately. Strong pain medication is seldom needed after having a thread lift, making it easier for patients to return to their normal routine. This procedure is therefore ideal for people who have children at home or those who have busy, demanding careers. While thread lift recovery is not particularly intensive, patients will still have to take a few minor precautions while healing. It's important to make sure that you don't rub your face vigorously while cleansing it or applying moisturizer for at least a week after having threads placed. You should also try to prop your head up slightly so that you don't roll over directly onto your face while sleeping. Thread lifts are low risk, thanks to how noninvasive they are. There is virtually no risk of scarring, severe bruising, bleeding or other complications after having a thread lift. In rare cases, patients may experience irritation, infection or their sutures becoming visible under their skin. If this occurs, however, the sutures can simply be removed and the patient's face will return to its prior state. Finally, because thread lifts are much easier to perform than facelift surgery, they are much more affordable. However, it's important for patients to maintain realistic expectations for this procedure. While thread lifts certainly produce visible changes, they will generally only lift the face by a few millimeters; as such, they create a more subtle and natural looking end result than facelift surgery. Thread lifts are therefore best suited to patients who are dealing with mild to moderate, rather than severe, signs of skin laxity. The ideal thread lift candidate is usually in his or her late thirties to early fifties, whereas most patients over the age of about 55 will benefit more profoundly from facelift surgery. Thread lifts can, however, provide a facelift alternative for older patients who are unable to have surgery for medical reasons. Because thread lifts can be performed under local anesthesia, many people who have age-related conditions that make them ineligible for surgery (like high blood pressure, diabetes and cardiovascular disease) can safely have this treatment. Getting the most out of your thread lift Because thread lifts are so low-risk and boast such a short recovery time, it's possible to combine them with other nonsurgical procedures in order to create more comprehensive, noticeable results. Once your skin has healed around the threads, we recommend pairing your thread lift with a treatment like Ultherapy. Ultherapy uses gentle pulses of ultrasound energy to heat the connective tissues beneath the skin, thereby stimulating collagen production. Ultherapy, which is often referred to as being a "nonsurgical facelift," is safe enough to be applied to virtually any area of the face and neck. By combining this procedure with a thread lift, you can maximize the overall amount of skin firming you receive and create more even lifting by treating the neck as well as the face. While thread lifts can tighten the skin effectively, they aren't designed to address blemishes on the skin's surface. As such, banishing the superficial signs of aging—like age spots, areas of uneven pigmentation and fine lines—will require a technique known as "skin resurfacing." During skin resurfacing, the top layer of the dermis is removed, stripping away the aforementioned blemishes. A new, more youthful-looking layer of skin then grows in its place. By combining a number of different nonsurgical anti-aging treatments, patients can achieve a profoundly positive change in their appearance – without enduring the extended recovery time associated with surgery.

Discover the benefits of PRP skin rejuvenation at Studio G Aesthetics. Experience firmer, smoother skin with advanced PRP skin rejuvenation. The remaining platelet-rich plasma is what’s used in the facial process. The natural chemicals in your own PRP are put onto your face and then micro-needled into the skin during a short procedure. Once the plasma is in your skin, it begins to rejuvenate the face, tighten wrinkled areas, and smooth the skin. Benefits of the PRP facial include: increased collagen production, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, tighter and firmer skin, improved moisture retention, and enhanced skin tone and texture. A local anesthetic will be applied to the skin in order to reduce discomfort.
- Semi-Permanent Makeup Procedures at Studio G Aesthetics – Enhance Your Beauty
Discover expert semi-permanent makeup procedures like ombre powder, microshading, and color correction at Studio G Aesthetics. Permanent Makeup Ombre Powder Ombre Powder is a permanent brow technique for clients who prefer fuller and more defined results than microblading hair strokes, but still want very soft and natural. It's done with a small hand held tattoo pen and sterilized needles to deposit thousands of tiny dots of pigment into the upper layers of the skin, gradually building up the color and defined shape. The tails of the ombre powder brows are darker and fades into light misty fronts. The same ink used for microblading is used for powder brows. The term powder refers to the soft powdery look achieved using this technique. Lasts 2-4 years. Microshading / Combo Brows Microshading is a combination of microblading and ombre powder. These brows will have microblading strokes toward the front of the brows and ombre powder towards the middle and tail of the brow. Clients must have a good amount of hair in the front of their brows for this technique to look nice. This technique is not recommended for people with oily skin since it has microblading strokes in the front. Color Correction Color correction may be required if you have previous cosmetic tattooing from another artist. Old tattoos can turn red, blue, or grey and will need to be corrected in order to cover and blend with new cosmetic tattoo. Color correction is done in the same appointment with your new permanent makeup procedure. Consultation – Free! If you are nervous about getting permanent makeup you can come for a consultation and speak with our Permanent Makeup Artist about what you are looking for and they can help guide you to the best procedure for the results you want! If you have previous cosmetic tattooing from another artist, consultation is required to determine whether we can proceed with your permanent makeup procedure or not

- Spasmodic Dysphonia Treatment | Studio G Aesthetics
Spasmodic Dysphonia Treatment with Botox ® Studio G is proud to say that we are one of the few clinics that offers Botox® treatment for spasmodic dysphonia in South Carolina. Spasmodic Dysphonia is a type of neurological disorder that affects the muscles of the larynx. The sound in your voice is created by vibrations that occur as air is pushed across your vocal cords. In people with SD, the muscles of the larynx contract and spasm involuntarily causing the person’s voice to break or sound strained. Botox can be used to minimize the symptoms when injected into the larynx. During the procedure, the doctor will inject a small amount of botox into the skin of the neck directly into the muscles of the larynx that are affected by the disorder. Botox limits the release of neurotransmitters that cause these muscles to spasm. Within a few weeks, the patient will notice that they don’t have to work as hard to speak and their voice sounds smoother and more natural.
- M'lis Body Wrap | Studio G Aesthetics
M'LIS ® BODY WRAP The M’LIS® Body Contour Wrap is an all-natural holistic approach to body contouring that has been helping people lose cellulite and inches since 1979. When the body’s circulation and elimination systems become impaired, toxins and waste materials become trapped in the vulnerable fat cells of the connective tissue. The M’LIS® wrap uses circulation and gentle pressure to flush toxins and waste materials from the system through internal detoxification of the body. Stored toxins are permanently removed at the cellular level through the circulatory and lymphatic systems. This creates a permanent inch loss of up to 14 inches, while improving general health, nourishing the skin, and contouring the soft areas of the body. M’LIS® Detoxification is also extremely helpful in the elimination of trapped wastes and toxins. Detoxification works internally, helping to maximize inch loss through body cleansing and the rejuvenation of all body systems. Detoxification is recommended 3-4 times per year for overall health of the body. The Wrap Process M’LIS® Body Contour Wraps are provided by a trained spa professional. The process is sanitary, warm, and comfortable. The wraps act upon all factors that cause body misshaping, including excess fluids, trapped waste, cellulite, and tissue weakness. With this ability, along with the natural ingredients in the cream, inch loss is just one of the benefits of the M’LIS® Wrap. Other advantages include re-contouring, skin hydration and smoothing, the restoration of blood circulation, and the cleansing of body tissues for improved health. A series of 3 to 6 Body Contour Wraps is recommended, with 4 to 7 days between each wrap. If a client is overweight and on a weight loss program, a wrap is suggested for each 5 to 10 pounds lost. At Home Care The inch loss results achieved through a M’LIS® Body Contour Wrap can be maximized with an at home anti-cellulite regimen. The M’LIS® Home Care Kit can be purchased for use between wraps when done in a series, increasing future inch loss results, or after a single wrap to prolong the circulation and cleansing process. The Kit contains natural products including: MAINTAIN Anti-Cellulite Lotion, used topically after bath or shower on the areas that are being treated for cellulite and inch loss. Maintain helps to promote the concentration of active ingredients on the skin in order to continue circulation and cleansing, while tightening and toning the skin. Loofah Brushing is done to stimulate circulation and remove dead cells on the skin surface. Friction on the sponge causes stimulation without damage to the skin. On a daily basis and each time you shower, rub in circular motions upward from the knee to the waist. On other parts of the body, always brush toward the heart.

SculpSure ® SculpSure® is a non-invasive body contouring system for the reduction of stubborn fat in areas such as the abdomen, love handles, inner and outer thighs, and back. SculpSure® targets only subcutaneous fat cells, not the surrounding skin or nerves which makes it very safe. SculpSure® is perfect for people with trouble spots, particularly those that seem resistant to diet and exercise. The procedure is ideal for people with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or less who are living a healthy lifestyle. SculpSure® is not a weight loss system, but it is an excellent way to kick start any new diet or fitness program. It’s state-of-the-art, controlled light-based technology, is ideal for patients looking to get rid of stubborn fat. The 25 minute procedure destroys up to 24% of treated fat cells without surgery or downtime. 25 Minute Body Contouring SculpSure®’s body contouring technology is able to target and destroy fat cells without affecting the skin. Over time, the damaged fat cells are naturally absorbed and permanently removed from the body, with results seen as quickly as six weeks, and optimal results typically seen at 12 weeks. What should I expect? When the treatment starts, initially you will feel a cooling sensation. This helps keep the skin comfortable during treatment. The cooling will be on the entire treatment, while the laser cycles on and off, raising the temperature of the fat cells. Most patients feel a deep warmth and/or tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is well-tolerated. There is no downtime with SculpSure®, so you can have the treatment during your lunch hour and return to work immediately. Is SculpSure® right for me? SculpSure® is ideal for people with trouble spots, particularly those that seem resistant to diet and exercise. How many treatments will I need? Every patient is different. Most people see the best results when they receive a series of treatments. Ask your SculpSure® provider about the treatment plan that is right for you. When will I see results? Patients may start to see results as early as 6 weeks following treatment as the body begins to eliminate the destroyed fat cells, with optimal results usually seen at 12 weeks. How long will results last? Treated fat cells are destroyed during the treatment and will not regenerate. How long before I can resume normal activities? There is no downtime following your SculpSure® treatment, allowing you to resume your daily activities right away. What is the difference between fat loss and weight loss? The number of fat cells stored in our bodies typically remains constant throughout adult life. As we lose weight, the size of fat cells become smaller, but do not decrease in number. Even with diet and exercise, many people have difficulty losing weight in these trouble areas. After the SculpSure® treatment, the fat cells are permanently destroyed and will not return. Proven Results Up to 24% reduction in stubborn fat Over 90% patient satisfaction rate Comfortable and well-tolerated treatment Watch Video
