Meet The Team R. Kevin Griggs, MD Dr. Griggs is a native of South Carolina, born and raised in Cheraw. He attended Francis Marion University earning a bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry before moving to Columbia to attend the university of South Carolina School of Medicine. During medical school he earned his pilot's license, worked as a paramedic with Richland County EMS, and was voted president of his graduating class. After matriculation at USCSOM, he performed his residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital becoming board certified in Family Medicine. Holly Gleason Holly is the co-founder and managing partner at Studio G Aesthetics. She comes from a varied background including training as a chef, attending aesthetics school, becoming a certified Ultherapist, acertified Medical Laser Technician, SculpSure Body Contouring Technician, and PCASkin certified, as well. Holly coordinates the flow of clients, employee management, aesthetics training, continuing education, business operations, marketing, event planning and product acquisition for Studio G. She has attended many additional advanced skin care courses and advanced aesthetics training. She is dedicated to staying at the forefront of the ever-changing aesthetics market and believes this necessitates an ongoing learning experience. Audrey Dew, LE Audrey is a licensed aesthetician with a genuine passion for what she does. She enjoyed her time studying at HGTC in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she proudly earned her aesthetics license in October of 2022. She loves to pamper her clients with customized facials, advanced chemical peels, microdermabrasions, waxing, spray tanning, and so much more. Audrey's goals are continue her education and certifications in order to build her portfolio of services and keep her clients coming back for more! Permanent Makeup Ombre Powder Ombre Powder is a permanent brow technique for clients who prefer fuller and more defined results than microblading hair strokes, but still want very soft and natural. It's done with a small hand held tattoo pen and sterilized needles to deposit thousands of tiny dots of pigment into the upper layers of the skin, gradually building up the color and defined shape. The tails of the ombre powder brows are darker and fades into light misty fronts. The same ink used for microblading is used for powder brows. The term powder refers to the soft powdery look achieved using this technique. Lasts 2-4 years. Microshading / Combo Brows ​ Microshading is a combination of microblading and ombre powder. These brows will have microblading strokes toward the front of the brows and ombre powder towards the middle and tail of the brow. Clients must have a good amount of hair in the front of their brows for this technique to look nice. This technique is not recommended for people with oily skin since it has microblading strokes in the front. Color Correction Color correction may be required if you have previous cosmetic tattooing from another artist. Old tattoos can turn red, blue, or grey and will need to be corrected in order to cover and blend with new cosmetic tattoo. Color correction is done in the same appointment with your new permanent makeup procedure. Microblading Wake up with full brows that look natural every day with Microblading! Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing procedure that fills in sparse eyebrows with natural hair-like strokes. At Studio G Aesthetics, our micropigmentation artist, Emily Osborn, is trained in the latest Microblading and Permanent Makeup techniques and will guide you in the best treatment for brows that look beautiful and natural. Microblading – Frequently Asked Questions ​ What is Microblading? Microblading is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing where pigment is implanted in the upper layers of the skin with a handheld microblade tool instead of a machine. This technique allows for natural hair-like strokes to be placed for partial or full enhancement of thinning brows. ​ Are the results permanent? No, microblading is not permanent. The results are semi-permanent. Microblading pigment is not placed as deep in the skin as with permanent cosmetic procedures. ​ How long does the procedure take? The initial visit is approximately 2 hours. During this time, Peyton will work with you to shape and style your brows to your preference. Once the ideal shape and style are created, she will present multiple pigment color options until one is found that best matches your existing hair color, skin tone and personal preference. At your initial visit, a follow up visit will be scheduled for 6 weeks and another application will be performed to ensure longevity of the pigment. ​ Does Microblading hurt? We make every effort to ensure the procedure is as comfortable as possible. A strong topical anesthetic is used to initially numb the area and is reapplied as needed. ​ Is there any downtime? There is no downtime, however, there are some restrictions on activity while the brows are healing. No swimming, sweating, tanning or prolonged sun exposure is recommended for the first two weeks. The brow area will be red, slightly swollen and sore to the touch initially and you will need to use a gentle cleanser and avoid any irritating products while healing. Your brow color will initially appear darker and you will have minor scabbing. It takes one to two weeks to heal overall and approximately four weeks for the color to completely settle in. ​ How long do the results last? Individual results will vary; however, most people experience 12 – 15 months if proper aftercare is taken and the second application occurs within an appropriate time.
